What is OpenKart
A championship for people with fuel in their veins
OpenKart is an amateur karting series with its own community, teams and overall standings. You don't need your own kart or licence: turn up, weigh in, then race practice, qualifying and the final. Rounds run on tracks in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and one of its homes is XL Rīga, which also hosts the XL Rīga Junior Cup and the Joker Karting Challenge.
Data: openkart.lv and Sportacentrs.com, 2026 season.
Classes
Everyone gets their own podium fight
Championship
The season standings, where every round counts. Plus a team classification for those who race together.
Rookies
A separate class for newcomers. You compete with others who are just starting out, but race on the same track as everyone.
Challenge Cup
Another classification to fight for a place in the table and on the podium all season.
Juniors and XL Rīga Junior Cup
Young drivers get their own class. The XL Rīga Junior Cup runs on our track.
Ladies class
Race alongside everyone, and your result also counts in the ladies' standings.
95+
A class for heavier drivers, so the podium fight stays fair.
The organisers publish the exact rules for each class and the round calendar on openkart.lv.
